The exhibition will be held on Wednesday 16th of September 2009, open to the public from 6 to 9 pm. The exhibit will be accompanied by a live-performance. Guests are encouraged to RSVP in advance due to capacity. The evening will conclude with an after-party at the same location. Simple Cut, â┚¬Â¦ the clothes that make the story, is a one-night exhibit of collectible designs in a limited edition, unique costumes and innovative clothes; all created in style of untraditional finishing, enhancing the experience of the Simple Cut metaphor presented as a timeless style. Challenging the tradition and complexity of everyday life, the show will feature a collection of original drawings of color on paper and canvas by Guiomar Giraldo, curated by artist Elizabeth Torres, director of Ravel Art Gallery, NY. Guiomar started her career in Colombia, South America, and has been residing and working as a designer in New York for the past 20 years. After studying Business Administration in Colombia, Guiomar attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, where she completed a Bachelor degree of Fine Arts. With a major in fashion design; Marc Jacobs, Liz Claiborne, The American Academy of Dramatic Arts of New York, Too Far of San Francisco, are among the list of companies she has collaborated with design. Guiomarâ┚¬â”žÂ¢s style resonates with New Yorkâ┚¬â”žÂ¢s constant-moving and ever-changing environment, as she tears pieces of her recurrent dreams and creative inspirations that begin with sketches and paintings, later transforming them into clothes and garments that transport the viewers to an organic and refreshing, dateless alternate reality. Every art piece available for purchase or, custom made orders. Appointment book. Please RSVP for ensured entry to the live performance. For more information about the event please contact: Guiomar Giraldogiraldoguiomar@gmail.com(646) 386-6322
