Carole Davenport of New York City, BC Dentan of San Francisco and BachmannEckenstein of Basel, Switzerland are joining forces for an exhibition at 5 East 82nd Street across from the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Each will offer a fine selection of Japanese Art.
BachmannEckenstein will focus on ink paintings and ceramics with an emphasis on tea ware, kogo and mended ceramics to illustrate the Japanese aesthetics for lacquer repair on pottery.
BC Dentan will show pottery from the six ancient kilns of Japan, Muromachi sculpture and Noh masks.
Carole Davenport will present Negoro lacquer, wood sculpture, Noh masks and tea wares in the Japanese taste, spanning the time frame from Kamakura to Edo.
March 19 through April 4, 10-6 daily. 5 East 82nd Street
