ART AUCTION FOR HAITI'S CHILDREN Thursday, April 15th - Saturday, April 24th Opening Reception- Thursday April 15th, 6-10pm Closing Party - Saturday April 24th, 12-6pm Starting bid at $50-$100 in gallery, phone or email. Closing bid is Saturday at 6pm. Bids will start from $50 - $100. Opening Reception, Thursday April 15th from 6-10pm, Closing bid ends on Saturday, April 24th, with a light brunch party from 12-6pm. Proceeds will be donated to The Association of Peasants Fondwa (APF), a grassroots organization that has worked men nan men ("hand in hand") with the peasants of Fondwa, Haiti since 1988. Specifically, towards rebuilding the orphanage destroyed in the disaster, just outside of Port Au Prince. This is a charity that Tara DePorte (a participating artist) has done her undergrad thesis with and has kept in close touch. At least we will know exactly where the proceeds are going!
