The Young Professionals Society for the Arts warmly invites you to a cello concert featuring musical prodigy Yoed Nir, who will be performing the Brahm’s Sonata for Cello and Piano in E minor. The evening’s performance will serve as a benefit for Suicide Prevention International (http://www.spiorg.org) and its efforts to prevent suicide in young people.
In 2009, Mr. Nir has appeared as a guest artist at The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien (NBC), the Late Show with David Letterman (CBS), Good Morning America (ABC), and Later with Jools Holland (BBC). Mr. Nir. plays the August Diehl (Hamburg, 1902) on generous loan from The America-Israel Cultural Foundation.
Violinist Akiko Kobayashi will be opening the show. Following the performance, wine and light appetizers will be served, giving members an opportunity to socialize and network.
The Young Professionals Society for the Arts (http://www.nycsociety.org)is a newly-formed, non-profit organization that sponsors a variety of cultural events in New York City dedicated to creating a community of diverse young professionals who come together to socialize, experience live performances from world class artists and raise awareness about charities that serve to improve the mental health of children and adolescents.
