The Edison Ballroom will kick off its latest series, Friday Nights with Joe Battaglia, Friday, April 23rd. Forego your popcorn and a movie, and spend the night with this legendary big band leader while dining and dancing in one of Manhattan’s best-kept secrets. Having traveled the world performing with icons like Frank Sinatra, Shirley Bassey, and Tony Bennett, Joe’s brilliant big band sound is praised by critics around the world. He has performed for such dignitaries as Hilary Clinton, Rudy Giuliani, and Barbara Walters. For the past 6 years, Joe and his orchestra have performed regularly at The Rainbow Room, Tavern on the Green, and Lincoln Center’s Midsummer Night Swing. Joe’s New York Big Band is comprised of a 15-piece orchestra as well as accompanying vocalists.
Performances will be held the following Fridays this Spring: April 23rd, May 7th, and May 21st, with additional dates to follow. Tickets for dinner and dancing are $125.00 per person, which includes an open bar and a 4-course dinner provided by Chef Mina Newman. Appetizer options include Butternut Squash Ravioli and Tuna Tartare. Entrées include a Petit Filet, served with Scalloped Potatoes and Grilled Asparagus, and Roasted Chicken Breast with Potato Hash. Festivities start at 7:00PM. After 10PM, general admission tickets are also available at a price of $45.00 per person, which includes open bar, passed hor d’oeuvres, and of course dancing until 1AM. The Edison Ballroom is located in the heart of Times Square, at 240 W. 47th St. (between 7th and 8th Avenues).
