The Parsons 2010 Benefit Honoring Vera Wang

extraordinary visionaries who have significantly contributed to the design industry. Bold-faced names will hit the red carpet in support of Parsons annual benefit. At this year’s highly anticipated event, Rick Darling, President of LF USA, will present Dr. William K. Fung with an honorary award, while Candy Pratts Price will award Vera Wang with her honor. A live fashion show will showcase the distinguished collections designed by graduating Parsons students. The show culminates with the naming of the highly coveted Designers of the Year in womenswear, menswear and childrenswear. The fashion show has helped launch the careers of some of Parsons’ most talented alumni, including Marc Jacobs, Jack McCollough, Lazaro Hernandez of Proenza Schouler, and Doo-Ri Chung. The honorees, Vera Wang and Dr. Fung will be available for interviews and comments. In addition to delivering a speech to the esteemed fashion-loving crowd, Simon Collins the Parsons’ Dean of Fashion will conduct red carpet interviews.
