DJ STONE JOY, has made his New York spinning debut at Top of
the Strand lounge at the Strand Hotel. Dawm Lanten, a London
native, has been the DJ for major Virgin/EMI Record Company
events for artists Coldplay, Supergrass, and The Kooks.
STONE JOY plays an interesting mix of styles and genres: Glam
Rock, Soundtracks, Garage, Funk, Rock from the 4 decades and Mash
ups (Marvin Gaye vs. The Pixies, Snoog Dogg featuring The
Doors, Mark Ronson’s Bob Dylan, Michael Jackson and Indeep,
David Bowie vs. MGMT, Led Zep vs. The Doors, Beck vs. Janis
Joplin, Coco Freeman & U2, as well as, Miike Snow, Paul Anka,
Nouvelle Vague, and many many more out of 9000 specially mixed
tracks).
STONE JOY has a unique and unprecedented style for New York
which is a perfect fit for Top of the Strand in the fashion district, a
boutique rooftop bar with incredible views of the Empire State
building and a cocktail list featuring Classic, Exotic, Modern, and
Vanguard artisanal cocktails. Newly opened Top of the Strand has
been nominated #1 rooftop bar in New York Magazine, listed #1 in
the New York Post, had STONE JOY IN Page 6, was also featured
in Time Out NY & Gotham, and was the featured lounge in the Boîte
