NYC Department of Parks and Recreation GreenThumb Program; Harpoon Brewery; PODpublishing; Tietz-Baccon, LLC Join us for the opening reception of the Living Pavilion exhibition! Music by Clickbeatle (BLANKS NYC) and DJ Isaac Asimov (BLANKS NYC) and beer provided by Harpoon Brewery. This exhibition showcases the full design process behind the FIGMENT/ENYA/SEAoNY Living Pavilion, from jury day through construction, highlighting the many phases and celebrating the numerous volunteers who worked to put this project together. The FIGMENT/ENYA/SEAoNY Living Pavilion is a sustainable structure installed on Governors Island for the summer 2010 season as a temporary central gathering and assembly site for arts activity on the island. Designed by Ann Ha, Assoc. AIA, and Behrang Behin, Assoc. AIA, the pavilion is the culmination of an international design competition co-hosted by the arts organization FIGMENT, the AIANY Emerging New York Architects Committee (ENYA), and the Structural Engineering Association of New York (SEAoNY).
