Description
With the closing of The Slipper Room, NYC's revered cabaret returns in a new space for a limited engagement. When times are tough, courtesans have always not only survived but THRIVED. An early inspiration to Pablo Picasso, a bankroll for David LaChappelle and a devastating scandal for Eliot Spitzer, the performance collective will demonstrate acts revolving around prostitution and those who have notoriously honored, immortalized and patronized it. The show's unique concept - derived from an artist's desperation in a failing economy - portrays acts spotlighting Parisian courtesans, call girls, scandal and the interesting history of prostitution in New York City: According to statistics, in the 19th century 75% of men in the Big Apple had some type of STD. Wild! TARRING: Bea B. Heart, burlesque superstar and winner of STRIP SEARCH NYC! Michelle St. Darling, master of batons, fire and breaking hearts! Juliet Jeske, the one to bring home to mother! Billy Dee Bedlam, the clown that's too hot for Cirque du Soliel! It's a Little Stormy (with a chance of VA VA VOOM!) Leta Le Noir, fan dancer extraordinaire! with special musical guests Ninja Sex Party Blacky 2, our beloved DJ Dana Athens (www.danaathens.com) and your host Kiki Valentine
