When Justin Timberlake raised a call to arms to bring sexy back, who answered? No one. And the Hotcakes were sick of it. So in 2007, they flew from all over the U.S. to form an alliance with a single mission. To take sexy out of the corner and put it back where it belonged-- in the concert hall. Heralding public praise from both Grammy award-winners Moby & Bootsy Collins, frontwoman Erin Marsz is a modern-day Debbie Harry with a backing band of artists-formerly-known-as-awesome, amidst a generation of wallflowers. Unafraid to get a little crazy, the Hotcakes strength is their live performance, which raises rock & roll from its grave, and gives it new life with dark turns and disco twists.
