| Description |
Tumblr blog Stuff Hipsters Hate (http://stuffhipstershate.tumblr.com) has jumped on the blog-to-book bandwagon, announcing a deal with independent publisher Ulysses Press for a book to be published in Fall 2010. Consequently, SHH's founders, Andrea Bartz and Brenna Ehrlich, thought it prudent to celebrate said deal. Well aware that garnering any acclaim or monetary compensation for one's art equates "selling out" in the realm of hipsterdom, Bartz and Ehrlich have dubbed their celebration "Stuff Hipsters Hate's Sold-Out Party," a late-night, alcohol- and music-drenched bad decision fest on February 13th at Williamsburg's Glasslands Gallery. The night will feature performances by Brooklyn's own indie folk troubadour, Jeffrey Lewis, and alternative metal band On Point, plus DJ sets by Robert Perlick-Molinari of French Horn Rebellion and Shirley Braha of New York Noise and Party-a-Day fame. The event is 21+ and open to the public with a $6 door charge, and will feature free Tiger Beer from 11 p.m. to 12 a.m.
