Hot off the heels of the sold out Brooklyn Soul Festival and Syl Johnson shows, Dig Deeper brings you a Brooklyn Soul New Year's Eve, featuring two legends of soul and funk: Marva Whitney aka James Brown's "Soul Sister Number One" laying down her trademark fiery funk, and Billy Prince of the legendary Precisions delivering a dose of gritty Motor City soul. One of the hottest bands in soul music today - Brooklyn's own Sweet Divin...es open the night with their own set, and back both artists.
This will be Marva Whitney and Billy Prince's second show each in NYC in over 40 years - miss this at your own peril! Before and after the live acts, Dig Deeper DJs Mr. Robinson and DJ Honky and special guest DJ Pari (Soulpower, Virginia) spin all original soul and funk 45s for the dancefloor.
