This is a street fair which pays homage to the citizens of the town of Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. The organization's main focus is to assist the Hispanic Community of East Harlem’s ’El Barrio.’ The organization strives to preserve the ethnic and cultural ties of the Latino community through cultural dance, music, theater and language arts. Carnaval Del Barrio celebrates the Latino presence of Puerto Ricans in El Barrio. The three day festival promotes the cultural arts in music and dance such as the folkloric ’Bomba y Plena’, and the famous ’Salsa’.
