Relay for Life Lower East Side to benefit the American Cancer Society

DATING FOR A CAUSE fights cancer and celebrates life! Each and everyone of our lives has probably been touched by cancer in some way- it is a sad reality that has probably affected the life of someone you know or may have even taken the life of loved one. Hopefully it is not something that you have already had to deal with personally, but if you are dealing with it maybe the American Cancer Society can help, or maybe you are even a victorious survivor! Let's take action and celebrate life! The American Cancer Society (ACS) Relay for Life is a community event which will be held on June 26 from 3pm-10pm at Columbus Park in the heart of New York City's Chinatown. Contrary to its name the Relay for Life event is definitely a non-competitive event i.e. the park doesn't even actually have a track! There will be many events in the park such as a tug of war competition, a dumpling eating contest, live performances (including martial arts demonstrations and musical acts), and many other fun ideas are in the works! DATING FOR A CAUSE speed dates for cancer All Dating For A Cause team members are invited to participate in a special speed dating event at the Relay For Life event on Saturday June 26 from 3:45-4:45pm! Participation in the speed dating event is completely voluntary of course. Your speed date will simply be a 5 minute stroll around the park as you get to know someone new. It's sure to be the most unique speed dating experience you've ever had, a chance to have an interesting conversation and maybe even a love connection. After your speed date walk, each participant will be asked to indicate if they would like to see the other person again.
