Matthew Schultz and Franco Poporino Jr. launched their anticipated dinner club, Speakeasy, last night on Mulberry Street.
The men who made the raucous brunches at Via dei Mille a Saturday staple launched Speakeasy as a homage to the old days of underground Italian supper clubs in Little Italy. The exclusive club will operate on Thursdays only, at My Little Secret, and will feature guest chefs, DJs and a prix fixe menu filled with delicious carbs, carbs, carbs.
Guests were treated to an amazing four-course meal featuring antipasti, pasta, an entree like lobster or hangar steak and dessert.
