This open bar, cocktail event will feature drinks especially created for this evening by a premier line up of master mixologists including Guiseppe Gonzalez (DutchKills & Pain Killer), Joaquin Simo (Death & Co.), Phil Ward (Mayahuel) and the Liquid Chef Junior Merino. Enjoy spiced-up piscos, mezcales and tequilas, as well as all-time classics like rums, vodkas, bourbons and brandies. Enjoy South American wines from Chile, Uruguay, Argentina and Brazil. Cocktails will be uniquely paired with delicious antojitos from the best Latin chefs, representing more than 12 top New York restaurants (see list below of participating restaurants). 4% of all event ticket sales will benefit Grow NYC’s (formerly the Council of the Environment of New York City) ’New Farmer’s Development Project’ that helps immigrant farmers New York's Hudson Valley & Catskill Regions, New Jersey and northeastern Pennsylvania. The eco-friendly, multi-day celebration will feature renowned chefs, mixologists and tastemasters to showcase Latin America’s profound cultural richness and diversity. The festival is committed to improving the lives of farmers by bringing the highest quality products from socially responsible companies and by partnering with organizations like Greenmarket, a program of GrowNYC (formerly the Council on the Environment of NYC), the Rainforest Alliance and the Fair Trade Federation. The annual Gourmet Latino Festival will debut in New York City, June 4-12, 2010. Other cities envisioned for future Gourmet Latino festivals include Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami and Austin, Texas.
