“Yanks”, New York City soccer fans will be able to watch every match of the 2010 World Cup while enjoying a meal at Plein Sud. The recently opened brasserie located in the Smyth Tribeca, a Thompson Hotel, will host viewing parties in its downstairs lounge starting Friday, June 11. The matches will be broadcast live on the lounge’s projection screen from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Plein Sud owner, Frederick Lesort, is an avid soccer player and fan, and wants to give his fellow devotees of the “the beautiful game” a civilized, comfortable place to root for their favorite teams.
