The Tibet Fund will present a special program with Ann Curry, Michael Imperioli, Nobel Peace Laureates Jody Williams and Shirin Ebadi; Laurie Anderson, John Giorno, Philip Glass, Tenzin Kunsel, Bobby McFerrin, Lobsang Nyandak (Representative of H.H. the Dalai Lama), and Tibetan monks and musicians at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine. ”¨ Features of the program include a special performance by Glass on the Cathedral’s newly restored organ, a screening of excerpts from the film Kundun directed by Martin Scorsese and a slideshow of rare images from pre-1959 Tibet photographed by Demo Tenzin Gyatso. The Tibet Fund is joined in this effort by the PeaceJam Foundation, The Dalai Lama Center for Peace and Education, and the Nobel Women\'s Initiative. ”¨”¨The program starts at 7:00pm and tickets cost $20 to $75.
