Gumby is everyone’s favorite green claymate. Created by Art Clokey,
master of claymation and first appearing on The Howdy Doody Show
in 1956, The Gumby Show was the perfect combination of complex stories
told in a straightforward way that could be enjoyed by both children and
adults. The Gumby Show continues to reign as one of the most accessible
and creative kid shows of all time.
ACTIVITY: Make your own Gumby and Pokey figures at the special
post-show Clay Station.
