The Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center's Spring Ball

The Society's biggest event of the year is a celebration of the entire Center. This glamorous evening will feature cocktails, dinner, dancing, and an exciting live performance by Mary J. Blige. Over 400 guests will attend and enjoy music by DJ Cassidy, and décor by leading design and event production specialist, Bronson Van Wyck. The evening is Co-Chaired by Tory Burch, Shelley Carr, Dee Dee Ricks, and Jamie Tisch, and is sponsored by David Yurman.This year's ball will honor Dr. Charles L. Sawyers, Chair of the Human Oncology and Pathogenesis Program (HOPP) for his innovation and scientific achievements. During the evening, additional funds will be raised for HOPP to fund leading-edge research focusing on the development of highly effective, nontoxic targeted cancer therapies. HOPP brings teams of physician-scientists with diverse clinical and scientific training together under one roof and provides the resources and infrastructure required to achieve this goal.
