The Edison Ballroom Amateur Dance Competition

The Edison Ballroom’s fall dance series Friday Nights With Joe Battaglia continues Friday, October 15th with the preliminary rounds of their Amateur Dance Competition. The famed venue invites couples attending the Friday night series to show off their best Jive, Rumba, Cha Cha, Samba and Swing for a panel of notable New York Judges. With tickets priced at just $45.00 per person, participants can enjoy a night of dancing, passed hors d’ouvres and open bar ($125.00 tickets include a 4-course meal). Three couples will be selected to move on and compete for a $1,000 grand prize plus a night on the town for two. Having traveled the globe performing with icons like Frank Sinatra, Shirley Bassey and Tony Bennett, Joe Battaglia’s brilliant big band sound is praised by critics around the world and provides the perfect soundtrack to the competition.
