The Womens Venture Fund (WVF) is pleased to announce the 13th annual Defining Moments Gala & Auction on October 4, 2010, with keynote speaker Samantha Ettus, bestselling author and entrepreneur. The event, held in lower Manhattan at Capitale, is the Womens Venture Funds largest fundraiser of the year and will be hosted by Rebecca Jarvis of CBS. The annual event brings together members of the financial, media and fashion communities to support entrepreneurship and honor a number of outstanding female entrepreneurs. This years honorees are Susan Berman, founder of Underline Communications & Celebrity Entrepreneur of the Year, Ramona Singer, astute businesswoman and star of BRAVOs The Real Housewives of New York City. "Women are starting small businesses in phenomenal numbers, creating more jobs than all the Fortune 500 companies combined," said Maria Otero, founder and president of WVF. "Womens Venture Fund is often the first place women turn to for information, business advice, and access to credit. Proceeds from this event will help women entrepreneurs achieve their goals."
