"French Eroticism and American Jazz": Thursday evening, September 23rd Art Exhibition and Jazz Concert
We invite you to a very special cultural event taking place in Manhattan right now: an exhibition of the work of master French oil painter Nicolas Foster Bécourt. In this exhibition, titled "Café Noir," Bécourt's oil paintings and ink washes are being presented in their first ever major solo New York show. The exhibition runs from September 9th through September 28th and showcases work of an exceptionally high quality to an audience that until now has had little access to the Parisian's elegant and sensual masterpieces. This exhibition is presented by Chashama and Patrimoine Vivant LLC, with Veuve Clicquot Premium Champagne sponsoring the Opening Reception, and is located at 217 East 42nd street, NYC (b/w 3rd and 2nd Avenues).
This Thursday, September 23rd, starting at 8PM, the exhibition will be accompanied by a live music concert, to be performed by "The Lost Wandering Blues and Jazz Band," a wildly entertaining American musical group whose members have lived together for the past 25 years in a bohemian houseboat on The Seine; the band has been flown into New York expressly to perform at this event. The evening will therefore present elegantly provocative French masterpiece paintings and ink drawings with that greatest of art forms that America has gifted to the world- down home blues and jazz music. Wine and refreshments will be served.
