Hetero Arthur Nauzyciel

French director Arthur Nauzyciel returns to the French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF) Crossing the Line festival with Hetero. Hetero, written by Denis Lachaud, takes place in an apartment and builds its intensity from this proximity with the audience. It focuses on the means by which society builds gender and features an all-male cast. At turns funny and arresting, this staged reading is the work’s first presentation in English, and is translated by Bruce Benderson. Nauzyciel was featured in Crossing the Line 2008 with his production of Samuel Beckett’s The Image.
