Sotheby’s is hosting a red carpet private preview reception of “Divine Comedy”. Following the journey Dante takes in the Divine Comedy, visitors to Sotheby’s exhibition will travel through Inferno, Purgatory and Paradise, exploring how for centuries artists have harnessed the power of humor in their work. This epic show includes 80 works spanning classical through contemporary art including pieces by Salvador Dali, Francis Bacon and Jeff Koons — all with a comic twist.
