Miro Magloire's New Chamber Ballet

Dancers: Alexandra Blacker, Madeline Deavenport, Katie Gibson, Victoria North, Lauren Toole Musicians: Erick Carlson, violin Steven Beck, piano "one of the small scale delights of the New York dance scene." The New York Times Ballets by Miro Magloire and guest choreographer Constantine Baecher are on the program when the New Chamber Ballet appears April 1 & 2 in the City Center Studios, including the premiere of a new Magloire quartet for 3 dancers and 1 violinist to music by contemporary English composer Brian Ferneyhough. Also by Magloire is Sculpture Garden, music by Handel, and Night Music, in which the dancers provide the sounds with the use of claves. Guest choreographer Constantine Baecher will be represented by his Sketches of a Woman Remembering, set to Preludes by Debussy.
