This event, which takes place during the organization 45-day awareness campaign, will assist in spreading the word about the need of minority donors. ’There is a great need for umbilical cord blood donations, which can assist in treating a child or adult who is suffering from a serious disease, such as Leukemia, Sickle Cell Anemia, and Diabetes. I am pleased to support the efforts of outstanding organizations, such as Preserve Our Legacy, who seek to inform and educate individuals about the importance of stem cells and treatments that can be provided through umbilical cord blood donations.’ NJ Assemblywoman Mary Pat Angelini, District 11. Rock The Vote will be on-site for voter registration and Preserve Our Legacy will host a Def Jam Rap Star karaoke contest for Best Freestyle for $200, Best Rap Song Performed $100, Best Duet $200.
