Join The Carter Burden Center for the Aging for a reception and performance of Gilbert & Sullivan's H.M.S. Pinafore at El Museo del Barrio, 1230 Fifth Avenue at 104th Street. The evening will begin with a 6:00 p.m. pre-performance reception at the Café of El Museo del Barrio, followed by a performance of H.M.S. Pinafore by Blue Hill Troupe at 8:00 p.m. at El Teatro of El Museo del Barrio. With its spirited shanties and aching ballads, deft satire of class distinctions, thwarted romances and mistaken identity, H.M.S. Pinafore receives a glorious full production from New York's longest running producers of Gilbert & Sullivan.
The Carter Burden Center for the Aging is a nonprofit agency that promotes the well-being of older adults through a broad array of direct social services and volunteer programs oriented to individual, family and community needs.
