WHAT YOU'LL DO
Join Urban Girl Squad (http://urbangirlsquad.com/site/event_display.php?id=176) as we team up with The Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty (http://www.metcouncil.org/site/PageServer), one of New York's largest human services agencies, at one of their weekly senior lunch days. Prepare and serve lunch to low-income senior citizens who live in Met Councils Elderly Housing. After lunch, well socialize with the residents and play games, like that all-time favorite, bingo!
WHY WE LOVE IT
Senior citizens have so much to share! Not only are they energized by having young people visit them, but they give us even more in return. Plus, any volunteering has a way of making us feeling so good!
