Gallery89 Opening Reception for Hideki Takahashi

Bar 89 is pleased to announce a pop up gallery event this Thursday, August 11th, with the restaurant transforming into Gallery 89 for one night only. The event is to celebrate the opening of the ceiling instillation and painting by artist Hideki Takahashi (MoMA PS 1). The artist uses denim as a canvas to create graffiti like images of cows inspired by a trip to a farm in upstate New York. The 5 ft by 180 ft. piece will hang from the ceiling and a smaller piece hangs will hang on one of Bar 89's large walls. This opening is curated by Christian Vargas and will serve as an inagural event for Gallery 89.
