’Harlem Day,’ the busiest day of 2011 Harlem Week, offers a variety of free family-friendly events, games, performances, demonstrations, educational seminars and cultural exhibitions in Harlem Sunday, August 21 on 135th Street from 5th Avenue to St. Nicholas Avenue in Manhattan. Activities start at 10:00 AM and will run through 7:00 PM.
’Harlem Day’ activities will include:
Ӣ The Upper Manhattan auto show;
Ӣ A musical salute to rhythm & blues, rock, gospel, blues, dance and Calypso;
Ӣ New York Health Village free health screenings;
Ӣ Arts & crafts;
Ӣ Upper Manhattan small business expo;
”¢ ’Back to School’ children’s fashion show.
Harlem Week is the annual New York month-long summer celebration of business, entertainment, sports, health, education and arts in Harlem.
