Entrepreneurs, Amber Lee and Hannah Kreiswirth are officially launching Join Bklyn, a curated site for users to follow, explore and discover the best blogs across Arts and Culture. Launching the site in style, Join Bklyn has created a festival of sorts, partnering with local artists and merchants to create the coolest f%$#ing launch party to hit the New York City start up scene. The Launch Festival will take place Thursday, Aug 25th at Loosecubes HQ in DUMBO Brooklyn.
For the Launch Festival Join Bklyn partnered with a slew of heavy hitters to entertain the 200 expected guests. Including, a live painting session from established street artists Veng and Sofia Maldonado in conjunction with the popular iphone app All City Street Art. A vintage photo booth, reminiscent of Andy Warhols famous self portraits, shot by Internationally renowned Fashion and Portrait photographer, Meagan Cignoli. And setting the mood, Brooklyn based DJ audioassasin will be mixing the best of indie rock.
With every good party, comes good food and drinks. Mixologist Max of Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, is bringing back the art of the cocktail with two Join Bklyn signature drinks. For beer lovers, Brooklyn Brewery will be showcasing their favorite brews. As well as food from local restaurants, Cafe Ghia, Burger Guru, and cupcakes from Con Amore.
Join Bklyn will be featured in the next issue of Brooklyn Magazine, as part of The Brooklyn 20 - a feature highlighting awesome new businesses and trends. This is the first of many events to come and we hope you can make it!
