Tasting Brooklyn Dining Club at Fornino Park Slope

The Tasting Brooklyn Dining Club will be holding an ’Italian Classics with a Modern Reinterpretation’ dinner at Fornino Park Slope (254 Fifth Avenue, Brooklyn) on August 23 at 7pm. The five course menu is $55 including one drink, tax, gratuity and $10 Fairway Coupon with an optional pairing of four wines for $20. Tickets are available at www.tastingbrooklyn.com. Diners start with a blueberry limoncello accompanied by appetizers at the bar before sitting for a dinner featuring modern reinventions of Italian favorites such as duck rollatini with orange prosecco vinaigrette; seared branzini with chopped puttanesca salad; lamb meatballs and pappardelle in Barolo sauce and peach semifreddo. Dinner will be led by co-owners Chris Walsh and Dave Kearns and Executive Chef Kurt Eggers who will discuss their seasonal approach to modern Italian cuisine.
