Union Square Partnership sponsors a free 90-minute walking tour called Union Square: Crossroads of New York. The tour explores the social and political history of the Union Square neighborhood through discussions of the people, history, architecture, and forces that have shaped this community. You’ll hear how Union Square got its name, see where the legendary Tiffany & Co. once stood, and learn how to read the clock (yes, it’s a clock!) on ’The Metronome’ sculpture and so much more! WHEN: Union Square: Crossroads of New York walking tour is given every Saturday at 2:00 PM. WHERE: Union Square: Crossroads of New York walking tour begins at the Abraham Lincoln statue by the 16th Street transverse in Union Square Park. Look for the guide holding a Union Square: Crossroads of New York sign. CONTACT: Reservations are not required for individuals, but are required for groups.
