Not Your Father’s Career Fair:
Bridging the Gap between GenY and
21st Century Employers
All emerging professionals are invited to attend and will be well served... whether they are searching for their first job or hoping to advance quickly in their career
December 31, 2010 - Bubble2boardroom | New York is a bold, paradigm-busting career event that helps struggling young professionals bridge the gap between the protection from the "bubble" and the reality of the boardroom. Good Morning America’s Tory Johnson and trendsetting-entrepreneur Francine LaFrak lead a cast of invigorating speakers who will offer unique insights for recent graduates in these tough economic times. The event will take place on January 8th at the New York Athletic Club.
Event organizer, Dani Ticktin Koplik of dtkResources, Inc. coaches and mentors rising professionals and continually confronts the painful reality that only 24% of 2010 college graduates had jobs at graduation.
’It goes without saying that the current economic landscape offers job search challenges not faced by previous generations, but that is only part of the problem,’ says Ms. Koplik, ’I created this unique, full day free event to enhance the professionalism and accelerate the contribution of our most anticipated resource, our bench strength - Millennial talent.’
Enter Bubble2boardroom | New York : These emerging professionals (referred to as Millennials and GenY) lack the critical thinking skills necessary to contribute and succeed professionally in the ’new normal.’ Until now, nothing existed to give this generation of workers both a competitive edge in their job search and the skills they need to succeed professionally, while absolutely aligning with the core needs and interests of 21st century companies.
We can’t change the economic reality, but we can:
1.) Speed up their learning curve
2.) Give them insight into what employers are really looking for
3.) Share critical skills they’ll need to succeed
Whether emerging professionals are searching for their first job or upping their professional value, bubble2boardroom | NY is designed to support them as they take their first step toward a successful and rewarding career.
NO cattle calls. NO random exhibitors. NO anonymous resume drops.
It’s all content, all the time. Up close and personal.
Definitely NOT their parent’s career fair... but many boomers are affectionately renaming it ’Get Your Kid to Work Day’!
