"Neil Totton presents NY Soul Sensation", a singing competition based in the truth that soul music has the power to transform and change lives by vocalist digging deep down with themselves to pull out performances that touch and captivate an audience. With Trevor Allen (Groove, Cafe Wha?, and bass player to the stars) serving as musical director and Neil Totton as host and a special guest mentor each week.Mentors to include: Recording Artist, Lea Lorien and Robin Clark, Broadway's Marva Hicks and Mykal Kilgore, and Vocal genius, Marlon Saunders. This competition is going to be soothing and good for the soul. Only 12 competitors will be chosen for the five week competition and considered for the grand prize of $500, a song produced by a NYC producer, and a co-host spot for Sunday Soul Sessions at the Time Out Lounge following the competition, as well as other prizes. Out of the 12 contestants no one will be eliminated from the competition each week. The winner will be based on audience ticketed votes- so bring all your friends to cheer you on and hear some out of this world singing. The contestants will be mentored by theatre and music industry professionals. THERE ARE NO JUDGES IN THIS COMPETITION. The competition is based on growth and evolving as a performer each week.
