The Amadeus Opera: 2011 Season
More Mozart mania! The Amadeus Opera presents a rare opportunity to enjoy one of the master’s more obscure early works, Mozart’s Il Re Pastore (The Shepherd King). This charming little 2 act opera (or serenade) includes some of his most beautifully written melodies, as well as many fun and delightful coloratura arias and ensembles! The production will be fully staged (with some unexpected ’action’ scenes), and accompanied by chamber orchestra.
As always, the production will feature some of Long Island and NYC’s most talented singers and instrumentalists, including graduates of The Manhattan School of Music, Stony Brook University, and The Boston Conservatory.
