Generation NXT (http://www.generationnxt.org/) is an organization of socially conscious young men and women who wish to change the world for the better. In its first year, the organization raised more than $200,000 for various causes, making them one of the largest philanthropic groups of young adults. On Tuesday, July 19, Generation NXT will be at it again, this time raising funds for pancreatic cancer research through an event featuring the sounds of Celebrity DJ Sky Nellor at New York City’s posh Park Avenue Gansevoort Hotel.
Proceeds from the event will benefit The Lustgarten Foundation, the nation’s largest private funder of pancreatic cancer research. Said Generation Nxt Chairman, Louis Levy, ’Having lost my grandfather, Arthur Levy, to pancreatic cancer in 2007, I am especially proud to organize this event in support of urgently-needed research into the nation’s fourth leading cause of cancer deaths.’
Said Ann Walsh, Director of Events for The Lustgarten Foundation, ’It is because of friends like Generation NXT, and all of the individuals and organizations who support community fundraising events, that The Lustgarten Foundation has been able provide $38 million for research that is making significant strides in the fight against pancreatic cancer.’
