| Description |
Rising Theater Artist Marc Arthur is presenting his own original interpretation of the classic Sergei Prokofiev, Peter and The Wolf. With performances by a children’s chorus and a troupe of young ballerinas, the captivating re-envisioned work of the old tale will be held at University Settlement in New York City. Dramatic moments of the production are brought to life by a cast of 10 child performers from ages seven to fourteen with a script inspired by a variety of 80 modern and imaginary sources, featuring cultural references from Maya Angelou to Michael Jackson, to renowned tales including Lord of the Flies, The Jungle Book and Hamlet. Throughout the performance, each character is represented by a different color, and a one-of-a-kind painting is designed to signify each night’s production.
