*From March 21st through 25th in New York City, Barbounia presents Moroccan Spring Market at Barbounia featuring the sights, sounds and flavors inspired by this mystical North African country. Timed to the first day of spring, the restaurant will be transformed into a lively Moroccan market with a swirl of rich colors, translucent fabrics and exotic scents. Diners will delight to table displays enlivened by desert spices such as cinnamon and cumin and an abundance of fresh flowers and a rainbow. The special Moroccan menu is also a spring tribute featuring lighter dishes inspired by the warm weather. Executive Chef Efraim Naon, who has strong Moroccan roots, has prepared a menu of authentic sweet and savory fare that includes recipes passed down to him from his grandmother.
