The New York Urban League Young Professionals (NYULYP) Host the 6th Annual Rebirth! 2011: The Rebirth of Cool
You are cordially invited to the 6th Annual Rebirth! 2011: The Rebirth of Cool brought to you by Morgan Stanley and hosted by The New York Urban League Young Professionals (NYULYP). The event will be held on Tuesday, March 29th, 7:00 pm at Greenhouse NYC located at 150 Varick Street, SoHo.
The purpose of the event is to raise funds to support the NY Urban League Whitney M. Young Jr. Scholarship Fund by generating awareness for all the things that made the Harlem Renaissance famous. Rebirth! attracts over 250 young professionals from around NYC.
We have celebrated live performances by Alvin Ailey II, Blacks in cinema and fashion, and have awarded young professionals who embody change. This year we will focus on the Rhythm and Rhyme of the Harlem Renaissance by showcasing exciting vocal and spoken word artists such as Jermaine Paul of MBK Entertainment, Taylor Simone and Lyricist Shanelle Gabriel.
Hosted at one of New York City's sexiest venues, Greenhouse NYC, attendees will get to mingle and network with a wide range of tastemakers, trendsetters, and the like, from the worlds of entertainment, fashion, sports, politics, the artistic world, academia, and corporate America. Some of our sponsors through the years have included Mercedes Benz and Moet Hennessy. There will be an open bar and passed hors d'oeuvres.
