On May 13th, Morgan Karr will return to Joe's Pub to celebrate the release of his new self-titled EP. An actor, singer and songwriter hailing from Nashville Tennessee, Morgan is quickly making his mark on the New York City entertainment scene. In 2009, he joined the cast of the groundbreaking musical ’Spring Awakening’ on Broadway, in 2010 he won first place at the legendary ’Amateur Night At The Apollo’ in Harlem, and soon after, he began performing his original music to sold-out audiences in New York and LA including infamous music venues like Joe’s Pub, The Bitter End and Rockwood Music Hall. In celebration of the new record, this event will feature more of Morgan’s original pop songs and a selection of special guests. Morgan’s debut 3-song EP will be released digitally (iTunes/Amazon) on May 11th, 2011, and is co-produced by Grammy Nominated Producer Juan Patiño (Lisa Loeb's "Stay"), Cliff Goldmacher (Jane Monheit, Spencer Day), and Kevin Fisher (Rascal Flatts, Sara Evans).
