| Description |
The event, geared toward New Yorkers living or working downtown, will feature music by Donna D’Cruz, dancing, and food. The newly formed Downtown Committee, chaired by Lisa Silverstein, hopes to engage the downtown community with UJA-Federation and increase the presence of UJA-Federation in “their backyard” through educating participants about the organization’s work.
Funds raised will go to UJA-Federation’s annual campaign to sustain the activities of more than 100 health, human-service, educational, and community-building agencies in New York, in Israel, and around the world.
Following up this event, Downtown Division leadership will partner with UJA-Federation staff to promote special volunteer opportunities, briefings, and site visits to further educate themselves and their neighbors about the impact of UJA-Federation in their own backyard.
