A gala event with luminaries from the publishing, entertainment and philanthropic worlds that includes the presentation of the inaugural Richard C.Holbrooke Award for Social Justice by Kati Marton, the distinguished journalist and author, to Aryeh Neier, the president of the Open Society Foundations; the presentation of The Blue Card's prestigious Max L. Heine Humanitarian Award to Robert Kuchner, managing partner of Rosenberg, Neuwirth, and Kuchner, CPAs, and an active, visible leader in many charitable organizations; and music by acclaimed violinist Pamela Frank and her string quartet. Cocktails at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. Dietary laws observed. Tickets are $300 each.
