Marlborough and Steinitz galleries invite you to a private reception to celebrate the opening of Le Cabinet de Curiosités on Saturday, November 12th from 6pm-8pm at 6 Harrison Street in The New York Mercantile Building.
Le Cabinet de Curiosités is an exhibition that marries contemporary art and antiquities in an otherworldly space that aims to triumph the confines of time and categorization. The ambitious installation was conceptualized and curated by Thierry Despont featuring 17th, 18th and 19th century boiseries and antiques from the Steinitz collection along with paintings and sculptures by Marlborough artists Claudio Bravo, Thierry W Despont and Manolo Valdes.
