The New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children’s Protecting Kids First! Gala

The New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NYSPCC), the world’s first child protection agency, will honor Vice Chairman of Newmark Knight Frank, Mark S. Weiss, and New York Knicks’ Assistant General Manager and his wife, Allan and Tamara Houston, with the Strength of Our Society Award at its Protecting Kids First! Gala on November 10, 2011 at The Plaza Hotel in Manhattan. Mr. Weiss is a member of Newmark Knight Frank’s executive committee, a member of the Real Estate Board of New York and an accomplished author. Mr. and Mrs. Houston have been devoted to helping families through the Allan Houston Legacy Foundation, specifically through its ’Father Knows Best’ program. Emmy-award winning journalist and Inside Edition host Deborah Norville will serve as emcee for the Gala. Gala Chairpersons include: Amanda & Neil Friedman, Jacquie & Jerry Storch and Deborah Norville & Karl Wellner. A special performance by actress and singer, Lynda Carter, will be included in the evening.
