Canon U.S.A. Inc., a leader in digital imaging, will celebrate the launch of a new Canon Product with the help of legendary jazz recording artist, bandleader and true icon of modern music, Herbie Hancock on Wednesday, October 26th at 6:30 p.m. at Skylight West, located at 463 Tenth Avenue between 35th and 36th Streets in Manhattan. The “Legends in Imaging” event will feature a private performance by Herbie Hancock playing iconic songs from his catalog and more recent releases from his critically-acclaimed Imagine Project and Grammy award winning River: The Joni Letters.
During the performance Canon will engage guests to participate in a “crowd sourced” video shoot. Guests will have the opportunity to photograph Hancock’s performance of his hit single “Chameleon” using Canon. The photographs will be printed, edited and synched together to create a forthcoming music video.
The event also features an official presentation by Canon executives and a gallery installation featuring photos of Hancock and other legendary musicians shot by renowned Canon photographer Vincent Isola.
