Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health’s Inaugural Gala will honor Dr. Harvey V. Fineberg, president of the Institute of Medicine, with the Frank A. Calderone Prize, the most prestigious award in public health.
For nearly a century, Columbia University’s Mailman School has been a leader in improving the health of New Yorkers and populations around the globe. Columbia’s Mailman School educates more than 1,200 graduate students every year who will become the next generation of public health heroes. The research and service projects the faculty conducts in 100 countries are as diverse as public health itself. Public Health is the key to our future and our planet’s future. It is the key to creating health for all of us.
