The Doe Fund will host its annual fundraising gala at Cipriani 42nd Street on October 27, 2011. This year, The Doe Fund’s Ready, Willing & Able program has seen a surge in the number of participants between the ages of 18 and 26. With absent fathers and drug-addicted mothers, the children were removed from their homes and placed in foster care — from which they “aged out,” with nowhere to turn. These young men are “Generation Blue,” a group filled with hope and promise.
