French Institute Alliance Française’s Crossing the Line 2011, a transdisciplinary festival of contemporary arts and culture featuring vibrant new developments in artistic practices on both sides of the Atlantic, launches on September 17 with a day that directly engages the public through site-specific works and commissioned projects for various locations on Museum Mile and Central Park. These works explore the theme of Fiction and Nonfiction and invite people of all ages to playfully explore their assumptions and sensibilities.
